In the aftermath of the Cataclysm, the once-lush elven homelands lay in ruins, blasted beyond recognition. Only the hardiest orcs survived in the desolate wastelands that remained. For the scattered bands of elven refugees, life became a desperate struggle for survival amidst the harsh, unforgiving terrain. Food and water grew scarce, and the relentless heat sapped their strength day by day. Some sought refuge in the relative safety of orc settlements, submitting to slavery in exchange for shelter and sustenance. But for others, the prospect of capture was something they were too proud to tolerate.
