The author &scientist Arthur C Clarke, who suggested geostationary satellites in 1945 (yes 1945!) also suggested that we would EITHER find vastly better ways of communicating than post & telegraph, OR far better physical travel. Now we seem to be fixated on using both and, imho, ABusing both. Some days (OK, most days) I think we must be the dumbest fucking species on this planet.......
